I warmly welcome you to Overchurch Junior School. I am very proud to lead this vibrant, happy and caring school where children are firmly at the heart of everything we do.

Our school is a fantastic place to thrive. Set in beautiful surroundings, Overchurch is a place where every child is valued, supported to achieve academically and given opportunities to contribute positively through our Bloom enrichment offer.

We pride ourselves on being an inclusive school with a family ethos. Fostering a deep sense of belonging is central to everything we do, ensuring every child feels accepted, celebrated and secure. Our dedicated staff really get to know each pupil individually, and work to meet their needs to the very best of our ability. We have high expectations for all the children and we value every one of them as a unique part of our community. Children are kept safe in school and flourish as they achieve academically and personally.

The Overchurch Curriculum is built around core knowledge and skills, designed to go beyond the academic and break down barriers. We believe in giving children a hands-on approach to learning, letting them experiment and experience activities which will inspire them to find out more. 

We aim to foster a lifelong love of reading, learning, respecting and believe that our children deserve the very best as they start their learning journey with us. We work in partnership with parents, carers and members of our local communities to achieve that goal.  An important part of our ethos is to value the partnership we have with families, as we know that working closely together helps your child to benefit fully from school.
