R.E and World Views at OJS
At Overchurch Junior School, Religious Education is taught in line with the Wirral Agreed Syllabus for Religious Education and World Views. Our RE curriculum aims to develop pupils’ understanding of diverse beliefs and values, fostering respect, tolerance and open-mindedness. Children learn about principal religions and festivals, exploring how faiths are lived out through traditions, community visits and visitors to school. Through RE, pupils are encouraged to appreciate the world around them, reflect on their responsibilities within it, and develop spiritually, morally, socially and culturally.
Parents and carers have the right to withdraw their child from all or part of RE.
